Masaaki has over 42 years of experience in banking and consulting. He is also a founder and CEO of Financial Training Support Co., Ltd and Senior Advisor to Kagayaki Co., Ltd..
He started his career with Hiroshima Bank, where he dealt the Ministry Finance’s Corporate Planning Division. He was then seconded to The Resolution and Collection Corporation. Returning to Hiroshima Bank, he led the rating-based risk management in the Risk Management Division and, later, developed a loan-officer training program for the Loan Planning Division, training many classes of new loan officers.
Currently, he is extensively involved as training instructor or lecturer at various conferences organized by the Regional Bank Association of Japan, The National Association of Shinkin Banks, Kinzai Institute of Financial Affairs, Inc., Japan Federation of Credit Guarantee Corporations, and Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry – Office of Intellectual Property Protection, Individual Banks, among others.
He has a B.A. in Economics from Keio University, and is the Chair of Examination at the Financial Official Approval Association (Credit Management and Business Evaluation), in addition to being an official member of the Japanese Association of Turnaround Professionals
